The Office of New Student Programs is excited to provide a new Student Orientation Experience for Summer 2024.

Summer 2024 Orientation

To participate in the orientation program, students must first register for an orientation session. Orientation Sessions for students beginning in Summer 2024 will be held in June, July, and August.

Registration

New Student Orientation combines live orientation sessions with online orientation modules to welcome student to our campus, introduce you to campus resources, assist you with registering for classes and more. During your New Student Orientation experience, you will also meet with an advisor in your major, register for classes, and be assigned to an Orientation Leader who will assist you during your transition to RIC.

Please make sure you are available for the entirety of the session you choose, as you must attend the entire orientation program to ensure you are prepared to start your first semester at RIC. More information about Orientation will be sent to your RIC email address prior to your in-person session.

New Student Orientation Registration will open on April 1st. The deadline to register for a session is seven business days before the date of the session or until the session is at capacity.
